Warning

To remove


1. Ignition in OFF position. Remove the negative cable on the battery.

2. Remove the rubber plugs over the screw holes (A).

3. Remove the bolts securing the airbag, 2 pcs (B).

4. Lift out the airbag from the steering wheel and disconnect the electrical connections on the rear of the airbag (C).


To fit


1. Connect the electrical connections to the rear of the airbag (C).

2. Place the airbag in the steering wheel and tighten the screws securing the airbag, 2 pcs (B).

3. Refit the rubber plugs over the screw holes (A).

4. Connect the negative cable on the battery and turn on the ignition.

5. Connect the diagnostic tool to the data link connector under the dashboard and clear any diagnostic trouble codes.




Turn the ignition off and on again. Wait at least 10 seconds with the ignition on.

Check whether a diagnostic trouble code is shown.

If a diagnostic trouble code is shown:

Perform the relevant fault diagnosis according to the instructions in the: Fault diagnosis, general .

If the diagnostic trouble code is not shown:

Refit the items you have removed.
