Fifth bow potentiometer

To remove


1. Remove the side trim. See .

2. The fifth bow and soft top cover must be in a raised position.


3. Remove the cover.


4. Remove the potentiometer retaining screws.

5. Cut off the cable ties.

6. Unplug the electric connection, pull out the wires and lift out the potentiometer.



To fit



1. Put the potentiometer in place and position the wiring.

2. Tighten the potentiometer retaining screws.

3. Connect the wiring and secure it with a cable tie so that is will not be damaged when the soft top is operated.


4. Put back the cover. Adjust as necessary. See .

5. Put back the side trim. See

6. Connect the diagnostic tool, clear any diagnostic trouble codes and then program the control module. See .
