Throttle body

To remove



1. Remove the resonating chamber.

2. Disconnect the throttle cable and Cruise Control cable, if fitted.

3. Unscrew the expansion tank filler cap to release the pressure in the cooling system.


4. Remove the IAC valve and the crankcase breather hose.


5. Disconnect the coolant hoses from the throttle body.

6. Disconnect other hoses from the throttle body.

7. Remove the throttle position sensor.


8. Remove the 4 retaining screws and lift away the throttle body.


To fit



1. Check the condition and positioning of the O-ring.

2. Refit the throttle body and tighten the retaining screws.

Tightening torque 8 Nm (6 lbf ft)

3. Refit the throttle position sensor.

4. Check the setting of the throttle valve, see Fig. If necessary, adjust it by slackening 2 screws and then moving the bracket in the desired direction. See .


5. Reconnect all hoses as well as the throttle cable and Cruise Control cable, if fitted.

6. Refit the IAC valve.

7. Refit the resonating chamber.


8. Check functionality.
