Start the engine.

CHECK ILLUMINATION OF MALFUNCTION INDICATOR LIGHT.
Does the malfunction indicator light illuminate?
Yes |
No |
Inspection using “General
Diagnostics Table”.
CHECK INDICATION OF DTC ON DISPLAY.
Turn the ignition switch to OFF.Connect the Vehicle Diagnostic Interface or OBD-II general scan tool to data link connector.
Turn the ignition switch to ON and the Vehicle Diagnostic Interface or OBD-II general scan tool switch to ON.
Read the DTC on Vehicle Diagnostic Interface or OBD-II general scan tool.
Does the Vehicle Diagnostic Interface or OBD-II general scan tool indicate DTC?
Yes |
Record the DTC code. Repair the trouble
cause.
No |

Repair the related parts.
