DTC P0182 FUEL TEMPERATURE SENSOR “A” CIRCUIT LOW INPUT

DTC DETECTING CONDITION:


Immediately at fault recognition

GENERAL DESCRIPTION


Important

After repair or replacement of faulty parts, conduct Clear Memory Mode and Inspection Mode .


WIRING DIAGRAM:


CHECK CURRENT DATA.

Start the engine.

Read the data of fuel temperature sensor signal using Vehicle Diagnostic Interface or OBD-II general scan tool.

Is the temperature more than 150°C (302°F)?

Yes


No

The malfunction indicator light may light up, however, the circuit is returned to the normal status at the moment.


CHECK CURRENT DATA.

Turn ignition switch to OFF.

Remove the access hole lid.

Disconnect the connector from fuel pump.

Turn ignition switch to ON.

Read the data of fuel temperature sensor signal using Vehicle Diagnostic Interface or OBD-II general scan tool.

Is the temperature less than −40°C (−40°F)?

Yes

Replace the fuel temperature sensor.


No

Repair short circuit to ground in harness between fuel pump and ECM connector.
