After repair or replacement of faulty parts, conduct Clear Memory Mode and Inspection Mode . |

WIRING DIAGRAM:
CHECK THROTTLE CABLE.
Does the throttle cable have play for adjustment?
Yes |
No |
CHECK OUTPUT SIGNAL FROM ECM.
Turn the ignition switch to ON.Measure the voltage between ECM and chassis ground.
Connector & terminal
(B137) No. 10 (+) — Chassis ground (−):
Is the voltage more than 10 V?
Yes |
No |
CHECK OUTPUT SIGNAL FROM ECM.
Turn the ignition switch to OFF.Disconnect the connector from idle air control solenoid valve.
Turn the ignition switch to ON.
Measure the voltage between ECM and chassis ground.
Connector & terminal
(B137) No. 10 (+) — Chassis ground (−):
Is the voltage more than 10 V?
Yes |
Repair the battery short circuit in harness between ECM and idle air control solenoid valve connector. After repair, replace the ECM.
No |
Replace the idle air control solenoid valve. and ECM
CHECK OUTPUT SIGNAL FROM ECM.
Measure the voltage between ECM and chassis ground.Connector & terminal
(B137) No. 10 (+) — Chassis ground (−):
Shake the ECM harness and connector, while monitoring value of voltage meter. Does the voltage change?
Yes |
Repair the battery short circuit in harness between ECM and idle air control solenoid valve connector. After repair, replace the ECM.
No |
