REMOVAL

Remove the V-belts.

Remove the crank pulley.

Remove the timing belt cover.

Remove the timing belt.

Remove the cam sprocket.

Remove the crank sprocket.

Remove the timing belt cover No. 2 (LH).

Remove the timing belt cover No. 2 (RH).

Note
Do not damage or lose the seal rubber when removing the timing belt covers.

Remove the tensioner bracket.

Remove the camshaft position sensor support. (LH side only)

Remove the oil level gauge guide. (LH side only)

Remove the valve rocker assembly.

Remove the camshaft cap.

Remove the bolts (a) and (b) in alphabetical sequence.

Equally loosen the bolts (c) through (j) all the way in alphabetical sequence.

Remove the bolts (k) through (p) in alphabetical sequence using ST.

ST 32005132 TORX ^® PLUS

Remove the camshaft cap.

Remove the camshaft.

Remove the oil seal.

Remove the plug from the rear side of camshaft.

Important
•	Do not remove the oil seal unless necessary.
•	Do not scratch the journal surface when removing the oil seal.
