Rear tooth belt cover, removing and fitting


Caution

Before removing the tooth belt: Turn the crankshaft to 60° (dim I) before the TDC mark.

To remove


1. Remove the top of the tooth belt cover - see Tooth belt cover top part, removing and fitting .

2. Remove the multi-belt - see Multi-belt, removing and fitting .

3. Remove the multi-belt tensioning pulley - see Tensioning device for multi-belt, removing and fitting .

4. Remove the bottom of the tooth belt cover - see Tooth belt cover bottom part, removing and fitting .

5. Remove the tooth belt - see Tooth belt, removing and fitting .


6. Remove the drive belt tensioning pulley - see procedure Tensioning device for multi-belt, removing and fitting .

7. Remove the drive belt idler pulley - see procedure Tooth belt guide pulleys, removing and fitting .

8. Remove the camshaft sprocket - see procedure Camshaft sprocket, removing and fitting .

9. Remove the engine pad mounting iron (2) from the engine block.

10. Pull the drive belt pulley (3) from the crankshaft.

11. Remove the bolts (1) and (4) - remove the rear drive belt cover upwards.


To fit


1. Fit the rear drive belt cover onto the cylinder head and oil pump - tightening torque 6 Nm.

2. Push the tooth belt sprocket onto the crankshaft.

3. Fit the engine pad fastening iron onto the engine block - tightening torque 65 Nm + 45° + 15° Use new retaining bolts.

4. Fit the camshaft sprockets - see Camshaft sprocket, removing and fitting .

5. Fit the tooth belt guide rollers - see Tooth belt guide rollers, removing and fitting

6. Fit the drive belt tensioning pulley - see Tooth belt tensioning pulley, removing and fitting .

7. Fit the tooth belt - see Tooth belt, removing and fitting .

8. Fit the bottom of the tooth belt cover - see Tooth belt cover bottom part, removing and fitting .

9. Fit the tensioning device for the multi-belt - see Tensioning device for multi-belt, removing and fitting .

10. Fit the multi-belts - see Multi-belt, removing and fitting .

11. Fit the top of the tooth belt cover - see Tooth belt cover top part, removing and fitting .
