Chain guide, lower, A20NFT/LHU

To remove


1. Remove camshaft cover with gasket, see Camshaft cover with gasket, A20NFT/LHU.

2. Remove timing cover, see Timing cover, A20NFT/LHU .

3. Remove the camshaft pinion, see Camshaft pinion.

4. Remove plug (A) from the cylinder head.


5. Remove the chain guide screws (A).

6. Remove the tensioner guide (B) by lifting it up. Inspect the condition of the guide. Replace if necessary.

7. Remove chain guide (C). Check the condition of the guide. Replace if necessary.



To fit


1. Fit chain guide (C).

Tightening torque 10 Nm (7 lbf ft)

2. Fit the tensioner guide (B).

Tightening torque 10 Nm (7 lbf ft)

3. Fit the chain guide screws (A).

Tightening torque 10 Nm (7 lbf ft)


4. Fit plug (A) to cylinder head.


5. For correct setting, see Timing chain, A20NFT/LHU .

6. Fit the camshaft pinion, see Camshaft pinion

7. Fit timing cover, see Timing cover, A20NFT/LHU .

8. Fit camshaft cover with gasket, see Camshaft cover with gasket, A20NFT/LHU .
