Fluid Cooler Inlet and Outlet Hose Replacement

Place drain pans under the vehicle.
|
2.
|
Remove as much power steering fluid from the reservoir as possible.
|

|
Remove the bolt (4) from the power steering fluid cooler inlet and outlet hose bracket.
|
6.
|
Disconnect the power steering fluid cooler inlet and outlet hose bracket from the body.
|
7.
|
Compress the hose clamp and disconnect the power steering fluid cooler outlet hose (1) from the power steering fluid reservoir inlet pipe (2).

8.
|
Compress the hose clamp and disconnect the power steering fluid cooler inlet hose from the power steering gear outlet pipe (3).
|
9.
|
Compress the hose clamp and disconnect the power steering fluid cooler inlet hose (3) from the power steering fluid cooler inlet pipe (2).

10.
|
Compress the hose clamp and disconnect the power steering fluid cooler outlet hose (4) from the power steering fluid cooler outlet pipe (1).

|
Remove the power steering fluid cooler inlet and outlet hose assembly (2) from the vehicle.

Ensure the hole (1) in the power steering fluid cooler inlet and outlet hose bracket is large enough for the bolt. If necessary, cut or grind off the tab from the bracket.

|
Position the power steering fluid cooler inlet and outlet hose assembly (2) in the vehicle.
|
3.
|
Compress the hose clamp and connect the power steering fluid cooler outlet hose (4) to the power steering fluid cooler outlet pipe (1).

4.
|
Compress the hose clamp and connect the power steering fluid cooler inlet hose (3) to the power steering fluid cooler inlet pipe (2).

5.
|
Compress the hose clamp and connect the power steering fluid cooler inlet hose to the power steering gear outlet pipe (3).
|
6.
|
Compress the hose clamp and connect the power steering fluid cooler outlet hose (1) to the power steering fluid reservoir inlet pipe (2).

7.
|
Connect the power steering fluid cooler inlet and outlet hose bracket to the body.

Install the bolt (4) to the power steering fluid cooler inlet and outlet hose bracket and tighten to
9 Nm (80 lb in)

12.
|
Clean any excess power steering fluid from the vehicle.
|
13.
|
Remove the drain pans.
|
