| To remove | 
| 1. | Drain the car of refrigerant, see Draining and filling of refrigerant. | |
| 2. | Remove and plug the pipe connection. Use
        
         82 92 948 Plugs, A/C system, kit

| 3. | Detach the electrical connection.   | |
| 4. | Raise the car. | |
| 5. | Remove the
        
         Drive belt, Auxiliary unit
        
        . | |
| 6. | Remove the A/C compressor. | |
| To fit | 
| 1. | Fill with oil in accordance with
        
         Filling and adjustment of compressor oil
        
        . | |
| 2. | Fit the A/C compressor. Tightening torque: 24 Nm (18 lbf ft)   | |
| 3. | Attach the electrical connection. | |
| 4. | Fit the
        
         Drive belt, Auxiliary unit
        
        . | |
| 5. | Lower the car to the floor. | |
| 6. | Fit the pipe connection with new seals. Use
        
         Vaseline Klüber Syntheso Pro AA2
        
        . Tightening torque: 18 Nm (13 lbf ft)   | |
| 7. | Evacuate the A/C system and refill with refrigerant. See
        
         Draining and filling of refrigerant
        
        . | |
| 8. | Running in the compressor to distribute the compressor oil in the system: | |
| - | Activate the A/C and let it run for at least 2 minutes at an engine speed of <1350 rpm. | 
| 9. | Test the A/C system. See
