Oil Pan Replacement

Removal Procedure


1. Drain the engine oil. Refer to Engine Oil and Oil Filter Replacement .

2. Remove the engine front cover. Refer to Engine Front Cover Replacement .

3. Remove the oil filter adapter. Refer to Oil Filter Adapter Replacement .

4. Remove the air conditioning (A/C) compressor bolts and reposition. Refer to Air Conditioning Compressor Replacement (LBS/A20DTH) Air Conditioning Compressor Replacement (LAU/A28NER) Air Conditioning Compressor Replacement (LLU/A16LET) Air Conditioning Compressor Replacement (LBY/A20DTR) Air Conditioning Compressor Replacement (LHU/A20NFT) .

5. Remove the 4 oil pan to transmission fasteners.


6. Remove the oil pan. Refer to Oil Pan Removal .

7. Clean the oil pan and the engine block gasket surface. Refer to Oil Pan Cleaning and Inspection .


Installation Procedure


1. Install the oil pan. Refer to Oil Pan Installation .


2. Refer to Fastener Caution .

Install the 4 oil sump fastener nuts to the gearbox and tighten to 60 Nm (44 lb ft) .

3. Install the air conditioning (A/C) compressor. Refer to Air Conditioning Compressor Replacement (LBS/A20DTH) Air Conditioning Compressor Replacement (LAU/A28NER) Air Conditioning Compressor Replacement (LLU/A16LET) Air Conditioning Compressor Replacement (LBY/A20DTR) Air Conditioning Compressor Replacement (LHU/A20NFT) .

4. Install the oil filter adapter. Refer to Oil Filter Adapter Replacement .

5. Install the engine front cover. Refer to Engine Front Cover Replacement .

6. Refill the engine oil. Refer to Engine Oil and Oil Filter Replacement .
