Transmission Range Indicator Internal Malfunction
Circuit/System Description |
The body control module (BCM) receives LIN-Bus messages from the transmission range indicator module. If there is a checksum or memory malfunction in the transmission range indicator module it broadcast this message to the BCM.
Conditions for Running the DTC |
Ignition ON
Conditions for Setting the DTC |
The BCM detects a checksum or memory fault in the transmission range indicator module.
Action Taken When the DTC Sets |
The driver information center does not display the actual gear selector position.
Conditions for Clearing the DTC |
The DTC becomes history when the condition for setting the DTC is no longer present.
