Removal Procedure |
1. |
Remove the engine oil. Refer to
Engine Oil and Oil Filter Replacement

2. |
Remove the engine front cover. Refer to
Engine Front Cover Replacement
.

3. |
Remove the oil filter adapter. Refer to
Oil Filter Adapter Replacement
.

4. |
Remove the air conditioning (A/C) compressor bolts and reposition. Refer to
Air Conditioning Compressor Replacement (LDK/A20NHT)

5. |
Remove the 4 oil pan to transmission fasteners.
|
6. |
Remove the oil pan. Refer to
Oil Pan Removal

7. |
Clean the oil pan and the engine block gasket surface. Refer to
Oil Pan Cleaning and Inspection
.

Installation Procedure |
1. |
Install the oil pan. Refer to
Oil Pan Installation
.

2. |
Refer to
Fastener Caution
.
Install the 4 oil sump fastener nuts to the gearbox and tighten to 60 Nm (44 lb ft) . |
3. |
Install the air conditioning (A/C) compressor. Refer to
Air Conditioning Compressor Replacement (LDK/A20NHT)

Air Conditioning Compressor Replacement (LAU/A28NER)

4. |
Install the oil filter adapter. Refer to
Oil Filter Adapter Replacement

5. |
Install the engine front cover. Refer to
Engine Front Cover Replacement

6. |
Refill the engine oil. Refer to
Engine Oil and Oil Filter Replacement
.
